Search by species, code or locality |
Tips on search
- To find a shell such as Siratus formosus, you can search simply for “formos”. This will find any name containing those letters (formosissima, formosense, formosus). As genera change frequently, the best way to find a particular species is to search for part of the species name together with the author’s name.
- Avoid very generic searches such as “Conus”. They may return too many results, take a long time to load and even cause the site to become temporarily unresponsive in your browser.
- You can also search by exact locality: for example, “Ilhabela” will show all shells we have ever had from that locality. You can also search by shell code, useful if you acquired a shell from us and want to find its photo again.
- Check “Only items currently in stock” to show only items currently available.
