Collection Andre Weber - Switzerland

Andre Weber, born in Switzerland, began collecting shells in 1978. During his career with Swiss International Airlines (formerly Swissair), he traveled extensively to exotic destinations, which enabled him to build an exceptional shell collection. He was highly active in the global shell-collecting community, exchanging specimens with collectors worldwide and participating in several shell shows across Europe.

At its peak, his collection was among the largest in Switzerland. In 2012, he chose to sell it, but his love for travel endures. He continues to explore select destinations, such as Sri Lanka, where he maintains a home and still occasionally collects shells.

He frequently traveled to Brazil to visit us and became very close to our family.
